Some customers are curious about why some handheld misting fans have the mist outlet in the center of the fan head, while others place it below.
At first glance, placing the mist outlet in the center seems like a reasonable choice. It looks balanced and makes sense visually. However, the outlet position can also affect how much water can actually be used from the tank.
In some center-outlet designs, as the water level drops below the atomizer, some water may remain unused. A pump can help address this, but it also adds components and cost.
That’s why we chose to place the mist outlet below the fan head on our CoolMist Handheld Fan (LT-F026). With the outlet positioned below the water tank, gravity helps the water flow downward, allowing more of the stored water to be used for misting.
We also tried both mist outlet positions to compare the misting experience. Based on our internal testing, we didn’t notice much difference in how far the mist traveled.
This design helps us make better use of the 40ml water tank while keeping the fan compact and easy to carry.
