On May 8, Google emailed its Finding Project partners, informing us that starting May 13, “Find My Device” would be officially renamed “Find Hub,” along with an updated badge to match. This helps people better distinguish it from Apple’s Find My network.
Find Hub is getting more useful. It now lets users easily track devices, accessories, and share real-time locations with friends and family — all in one app.

And what else is new in Find Hub?
Some features might feel familiar if you’ve used Apple Find My, but Google is also bringing a few important upgrades.
First, later this month, UWB (Ultra-Wideband) support will be added, starting with Motorola’s Moto Tag. Maybe Google will open it up soon. Let’s stay tuned.
Then, later this year, Find Hub will include satellite location sharing. According to Google, it will allow users to share their location even without a mobile signal. It sounds like a great addition, and we’re curious to see how it will work.
Starting early next year, Google will partner with select airlines. This is similar to Apple’s “Share Item Location” in iOS 18.2. Users will be able to share tracker locations directly with airlines, making it much easier to find lost luggage. This could help trackers become a go-to for travelers and boost growth in the market.
