We are introducing a new finishing option for plastic housing: flocking. This surface treatment transforms the appearance and feel of the product, giving it a warmer, softer, and more distinctive character. The flocked outer surface adds a gentle, velvety texture that makes the character stand out.
How Does Flocking Work?
Flocking is a surface-finishing process in which fine, short fibers are applied to an adhesive-coated surface. During application, an electrostatic process helps the fibers stand upright and distribute evenly. After the adhesive is cured, excess fibers are removed.
The result is a soft, matte, velvet-like surface. By adjusting the color, length, and density of the fibers, the final appearance and tactile feel can be tailored to different design concepts.
The colors, coverage areas, and character themes can also be customized for different projects.
