According to Macworld, Apple’s latest iOS 17.4 brings support for 15W wireless charging with Qi2 to the iPhone 12.
We tested a Qi2 wireless charger with an iPhone 12 running the latest iOS version, and the results showed that the charger can provide a power output of up to 19W, even 20W, in dynamic changes. After accounting for factors such as testing equipment, cables, and charger errors, it reaches the Qi2 wireless fast charging level of 15W. This indicates that the iOS 17.4 update has indeed enabled Qi2 protocol compatibility for iPhone 12.
